RAINBOWS IN BLACK AND WHITE

A wet Sunday in October sees the return of the magnificent7 to the rock garden. A funny day to play a gig at a venue that has long since lost it's status of a live music venue.
Mag7 were headlining on the strength of their previous two sell out shows here but forgot to tell anyone.

However with two other bands in support a healthy audience had assembled with a majority of northern folk that had made the journey down to see "born laid" the main support.
The first band came on and suffered at the hands of these traveling fans who were eager to see their own heroes perform and had obviously just completed an open university degree in heckling with sarcasm and wit.

'fuck off you're shite' seemed to be a popular example of this razor sharp repartee and we all had a jolly good laugh.
Next up were "born laid" themselves and as expected preaching to the converted wasn't a hard job, although I must admit they were pretty good anyway.

How would mag7 fair against these fun loving northerners; would they all go home now and leave an empty house for the final band?........... Not bloody likely!!!

Some southern softee cads had let all the tyres down on the coaches that had ferried them from t'north which ensured them an extended stay.

Mag7 arrived on stage and fired up rather shakily with a new member in tow ( bengers had been the victim of a coup d'etas and fruitums was making his debut.)  but soon settled down into their usual routine.

A tight back line with an industrious midfield kept the ball rocking and uncle iffys legendary shouting and jumping about led the line throughout.

Victory was secured when in the 62nd minute iffy joined the audience only to be pulled down from behind and dragged around the floor by the legs whilst chanting his way through an old pistols number. the penalty won, the crowd converted and another spiffing night out was had by all.

Given the choice between a "spear and jackson number seven shovel' and the 'magnificent seven' I certainly know which isn't boring!!
